City of Kingsland Proclaims November 2, 2025 as Georgia Retired Educators Day
KINGSLAND, GA — The City of Kingsland proudly joins communities across the state in recognizing the invaluable contributions of retired educators by proclaiming Sunday, November 2, 2025, as Georgia Retired Educators Day.
Mayor Dr. C. Grayson Day, Jr. issued the proclamation honoring the men and women who dedicated their lives to educating Georgia’s youth and shaping the future of the state through their commitment, talent, and passion for learning.
“Retired educators have spent their careers inspiring generations of students,” said Mayor Day. “Their dedication and continued service to our community, even after retirement, represent the heart of what makes Georgia strong.”
The proclamation acknowledges that education is the cornerstone of Georgia’s prosperity and that retired educators have played a critical role in building that foundation. It also recognizes that many of these individuals continue to serve through mentoring, volunteering, and civic engagement, enriching the lives of others long after leaving the classroom.
The State of Georgia designates the first Sunday in November each year as Georgia Retired Educators Day to honor these distinguished individuals for their lasting influence on both the local and state levels.
Citizens are encouraged to express their appreciation to retired educators for their enduring impact on students, families, and the community.
