CITY OF KINGSLAND: COMMUNITY MEAL DRIVE-THRU SERVES OVER 1,200 MEALS IN FIRST WEEK
In partnership with the Camden County Chamber of Commerce and Camden Connection—working together to serve our community.
Kingsland, GA — [November 7, 2025] — The City of Kingsland is proud to share that, through the generosity of local volunteers and donors, more than 1,200 free meals were provided to families in need this week as part of a grassroots free community meal drive-thru initiative.
On Tuesday, volunteers distributed over 600 spaghetti dinners, followed by 600 pulled pork dinners on Thursday. The Thursday event reached capacity in just 30 minutes, demonstrating a significant community need. Thanks to the generosity of a private donor, the next meal event will serve 1,000 dinners on Tuesday, November 11.
The Community Meal Drive-Thru program began with the goal of creating a consistent, twice-weekly meal service—providing food-insecure individuals and families with access to dependable, hot meals every Tuesday and Thursday.
Community response has been overwhelming. The volunteer list continues to grow daily, and a local donor has pledged to match every dollar donated toward meal supplies. These supplies will be made available to meal partner hosts while inventory lasts.
