Deputy Chief Jason Seaward
Deputy Chief Jason Seaward brings nearly 30 years of dedicated law enforcement experience to the Kingsland Police Department. His career began in 1993 in Jacksonville, Florida, where he earned his Florida law enforcement certification and began serving the public with distinction.
In 1994, he moved to Charlton County, Georgia, and joined the Folkston Police Department. Two years later, he transitioned to the Camden County Sheriff's Office, where he served for over a decade. During his tenure, he rose through the ranks, holding key leadership positions including Patrol Deputy, Patrol Sergeant, Criminal Interdiction Officer, Criminal Investigator, Lieutenant, and Patrol Division Commander.
In 2009, Deputy Chief Seaward joined the Kingsland Police Department, where he has continued his upward trajectory, ultimately earning the rank of Deputy Chief. He plays a critical leadership role in guiding departmental operations, supporting officers, and enhancing community safety.
His educational background includes:
- Florida Community College at Jacksonville - General Studies and Criminal Justice
- Lake City Community College - Florida Law Enforcement Certification
- Armstrong State University - Georgia Peace Officer Certification
- Valdosta State University - Criminal Justice Studies
