The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA), after extensive research and public outreach, has completed the DRAFT 2015 Analysis of Impediments (AI) and seeks your help in spreading the word and supporting the public comment process.
The AI is a mandatory requirement for recipients of federal funds and will be integral to DCA’s annual planning and fair housing initiatives. All HUD-funded programs at DCA are responsible for recognizing barriers or impediments to fair housing choice and incorporating plans and actions to mitigate those barriers.
DCA has made the DRAFT AI available on its main page at: https://www.dca.ga.gov/communities/communityinitiatives/programs/Impediments.asp beginning December 28, 2015.
The 30-day public comment period will close on January 28, 2016.
Please help support this effort by sharing the DRAFT AI and 1-page overview with your stakeholders. Additionally, any comments from your organization or comments from your constituents that are facilitated by your organization are greatly appreciated.
Please submit responses to aicomments@dca.ga.gov or mail them to 60 Executive Park South, NE Atlanta GA 30329. If you need these documents in an alternate format or language, please make that request to Antonette Sewell at Antonette.sewell@dca.ga.gov or 404-679-5291.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions regarding the comment period.
