[ARCHIVED] TRAFFIC ALERTS

MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR TRAFFIC ALERT

**Traffic Alert**

I-95 Exit 3 night southbound exit closure

Beginning June 11th, the Kingsland southbound exit off I-95, Exit 3, will be closed during night hours due to repaving of the road surface. Alternate routes should be taken if travel is required in the Highway 40 business district, or the Kingsland downtown area.

**Traffic Alert**

I-95 night detours to Exit 6 ramps begin June 11

As part of continued construction progress on the widening of Colerain Road/Laurel Island Parkway, Southern Concrete Construction will demo bridge spans starting Tuesday, June 11, requiring mainline Interstate 95 detours.  The current plan shows 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. I-95 shut downs to divert traffic to the off and on-ramps during bridge demolition.

Weather and progress permitting, the contractors expect the following schedule:

I-95 southbound closure nightly June 11 and June 12

I-95 northbound closure June 13 with possible return to complete June 17

Motorists should remain alert to advancing warning messages and obey flaggers stationed at key locations each night.
