Finance Department

Finance Department

The Finance Department is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the City’s financial operations and records. The department manages a wide range of financial functions that support both internal operations and public services, including:

  • Accounting and Financial Reporting
    Maintains accurate financial records and prepares reports in accordance with state and federal regulations.

  • Budgeting and Audits
    Develops and monitors the annual budget and coordinates external audits to ensure fiscal accountability.

  • Payroll and Accounts Payable
    Processes payroll for all city employees and manages timely payments to vendors and contractors.

  • Purchasing and Grant Administration
    Oversees procurement activities and ensures proper management of local, state, and federal grant funds.

  • Billing and Collections
    Handles utility billing, property tax processing, and collection of payments from residents and businesses.

  • Customer Service and Meter Reading
    Provides front-line service to utility customers and supports accurate meter reading and billing practices.
